This very windy weekend started off my favorite way - catching a gorgeous sunset. If you notice the reflection of the sun off the two black buildings, you can imagine just how gorgeous the full view was. I noticed the purple sky from my window and made a run for the roof to see the entire sky... Just magical.
Friday's dinner commenced at Flaco's Tacos... Good atmosphere and good food. What more can you ask for? I went with a chicken taco and quesadilla. Both were great, but the quesadilla was fantastic. Definitely recommend!
Anytime Nicole and Laura come visit, a stop at Sprinkles Cupcakes is a must. Surprisingly enough, this was my first time actually using the ATM. Keeping the promise I made to myself, I tried yet another new cupcake flavor. This time I went with sprinkle, which is a birthday inspired cupcake that is decked out in (you guessed it) colorful sprinkles.

Saturday afternoon had me checking out Chicago's French Market with Alyssa, which is filled with a bunch of different vendors. We came across a ton of cute pastries, and neither of us had ever tried macaroons, so we took this opportunity to grab some. I went with raspberry, hazelnut and caramel... So good! I imagined them to be more like crackers, but they're actually might lighter than that.
Dinner landed us at one of my favorites - Stella Barra. Their margherita pizza is my go-to entree, but also try their bread and butter because that butter is something else (in a good way). Did anyone know Stella Barra had an adorable room hidden in the back? Neither of us knew, so we were pleasantly surprised when we were seated back there. The decor and exposed brick just made me want to move in and never leave.
