The more and more I go out to eat, the more I'm realizing how frequent pizza is as an entree in Chicago (or maybe I just order it a lot...); however it's rarely your infamous Chicago deep-dish pizza. Last night's pizza was provided by Bar Siena (another restaurant to check off the list!) in West Loop, and it was a little less filling than I anticipated but not any less yummy.
Anyone who has been out to a restaurant with me knows I have a thing for the atmosphere. Bar Siena nailed it... I mean who doesn't love a sparkly tree sprouting from the first floor to the second to accompany their dinner?! Everything from the chairs to the lighting was top-notch here.
Last but not least... I love when a restaurant gets a little creative here and there. This addition to the pizza paper (is there a better name for that?) was excellent.
If you're reading this, it's too late... for any leftovers. I was surely reminded about that when I finally got home for the night and was already hungry again!

Pro-tip: Check out Bombobar attached to Bar Siena on the Green St. side. It's a walk-up window coffee shop with coffee (duh), cappuccinos, doughnuts (or as they refer to them, bombolonis) and gelato!
